The movie takes place in a world of robots, focusing on the life of a striving young inventor, Rodney, who’s dream is to work at an inventor company, Bigweld Industries. But Bigweld has just been deposed as company head by the villainous Phineas T. Ratchet, who wants to make all robots submit to profitable forced upgrades. In this animated adventure, Rodney and his friend Fender go underground to fight Ratchet's evil plans.
The objective for this project was to reinterpret the key art for the movie Robots for a 2023 audience. Robots is a 2005 Family/Comedy movie.

The chosen design was inspired by a specific scene in the movie where the main character, Rodney, meets his first friend in the city, Fender, and they take a picture together. I liked the idea of basing the poster on a specific moment from the film without directly using the actual frame from the scene. This approach made the design feel more interactive and engaging.
Since the movie revolves around inventing and Rodney's dream of becoming an inventor, I enhanced the interactive feel of the poster by incorporating scattered tools. This detail gives the impression of a messy workbench, tying into the film’s theme of creativity and invention.
