The Conjuring 2 is a 2016 paranormal/horror film that is based off a case of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. The events take place in London with the Hodgson family, who’s second oldest daughter is experiencing and showing signs of demonic possession.

The objective for this project was to remake the key art as well as develop touch points for a movie that was created several (5-10) years ago.

I chose Sketch 3 for the poster because I wanted to emphasize both the Protagonist and the Antagonist. I also aimed to experiment with depth by placing Valak (the Nun/Antagonist) in the background, subtly visible. To enhance the eerie effect, I decided to make Valak's eyes glow, similar to how they glowed in the painting in the movie.
For the color palette, I selected muted blue and gray tones, which reflect the primary colors used in the film. This helps create a cohesive visual link between the poster and the movie.
